LVDS Video Chain Design

Build a complete LVDS transmission chain for low-slow-small / video scenarios, from pixel clock planning to frame rate bandwidth calculation.

Pixel Clock & PLL Planning

Calculate pixel clock from resolution and refresh rate, plan PLL multiply/divide paths, and ensure jitter meets LVDS specs.

Link Timing Budget

Evaluate setup/hold time, PCB trace delay, and receiver setup window to leave timing margin.

Color & Pixel Processing

RGB/YUV color space conversion and ISP pipeline processing to prepare compliant pixel data for the LVDS transmitter.

Grayscale & Binarization Preprocessing

For monochrome/binary scenes (e.g., infrared, target detection), perform grayscale normalization and thresholding to reduce link bandwidth.

Frame Rate & Bandwidth Conversion

Convert resolution × frame rate × bit depth into LVDS lane bandwidth and verify it stays within the physical link limit.
