Image AlgorithmsTool Introduction

Auto White Balance (AWB) estimates the scene illuminant color temperature and applies R/B channel gains to restore neutral gray, removing color cast caused by different light sources. Provides two classic algorithms for comparison: Gray World (assumes scene average is gray) and White Patch (assumes the brightest point is white), with adjustable high percentile for overexposure noise robustness.

Key Formula / Principle

Gray World: gainR = Gavg / Ravg, gainB = Gavg / Bavg
White Patch: gain = 255 / percentile(channel)
Pixel_out = clamp(Pixel × gain, 0, 255)
