Image AlgorithmsTool Introduction

Lens Shading Correction (LSC) compensates for the vignetting effect — lens edges receive less light, causing darker corners. Each pixel is multiplied by a gain based on its normalized radial distance from the center (center = 1.0, edges > 1.0) to restore uniform illumination. Uses a radially symmetric approximation with adjustable strength and falloff exponent.

Key Formula / Principle

r = dist(pixel, center) / maxDist (elliptical aspect ratio adaptation)
gain = 1 + strength/100 × r^falloff
Pixel_out = clamp(Pixel_in × gain, 0, 255)
